my go-to Classic recipes

It’s tough to choose favourites, but here is a small round up of my absolute “must make” recipes. These recipes are great to have in your back pocket, and aren’t super complicated! If you’re new to baking, these are where I’d start.

chocolate chip cookies

My favourite classic cookie recipe! Find all my tips and tricks for the very best cookies here.

one bowl chocolate cake

My all-time favourite, ride or die, never fail, one bowl chocolate cake. No eggs or butter here…so it’s a great option for those with special diets. If I’m bringing a cake to your birthday, there’s a very good chance that it’s this bad boy.

White vanilla cake (with vanilla frosting)

It’s fluffy, moist (ya…I went there!), and an overall dream. The perfect cake for when you don’t feel like chocolate. The perfect cake to have in your back pocket…sprinkles are optional (but why wouldn’t you?)

Chocolate Peanut Butter Tart

Chocolate crust, a creamy peanut butter filling (made with greek yogurt!), and topped with a decadent ganache and a sprinkle of flaked salt. Looks fancy…but is so easy!

blueberry rhubarb crumb muffins

It says blueberry rhubarb…but swap in any fruit you’d like! Use all blueberries, or diced apples, or chocolate chips, etc. The crumb top is perhaps the very best part, but can be left off if you’re in a hurry…or if you have something against crumbs :P
