So, I have a thing for pavlova. And decided to take my love for it and marry it with my mini egg obsession. Cute little meringue nests were born. Then came the whipped cream. All topped with the most beautiful shimmery mini eggs that I found while visiting Target in the U.S. (I’m so in love with Target…but also a little bit grateful that we don’t have them in Canada as I’d likely be broke!)Read More
Easter is nearly upon us, and for my family that means…..paska time! Paska is a slightly sweet, slightly citrus-y bread that is made for Easter, and is often served with icing and sprinkles. Some families make loaves, some make buns, some frost just the tops, and some cut theirs open to frost the open faced sides! There’s no wrong way, truly. Our family loves simply toasting paska and eating it with butter for breakfast. Haha.Read More
It’s time for another halfway homemade recipe! I teamed up with my dear friend Kristie from The Sweet and Simple Kitchen to bring you another fun, super easy recipe that we think you’ll love. It is always such a different experience for me when I get to bake with a friend and fellow blogger. Food blogging is such a funny, and sometimes isolating thing, so it’s always so fun when you get to bounce ideas off of someone face to face! I’m pretty sure I would have thrown in the towel on these if Kristie hadn’t been there offering encouragement and ideas! Ha!Read More
Hello friends!! I am SO excited to share this new mini egg recipe with you! I love coming up with a fun new recipe each year, as I’m obsessed with mini eggs (who isn’t?!), and find it so fun to bake them into things.
Here are a few more recipes from the past years! I make the mini egg ice cream every year since it is an all-time favourite! You could always replace the mini eggs with your favourite treat so you can enjoy it all year.Read More
In preparation of pi(e) day (March 14….3.14 in case you haven’t heard of it!), I thought I’d do a little round-up of all the pies I’ve made here on the blog! Pie is one of my favourite desserts to make, and is so much simpler than people think.Read More
Citrus season is still going strong, and nothing beats a classic loaf! They are such a reliable go-to, and perfect to pair with a cozy drink on a cold winter day. Lemon is such a bright, zippy flavour, and is always such a joy to use in the kitchen. I will say, that if you don’t own a zester….invest in one! It’s one of those kitchen gadgets that - yes it only has one use - but it is sooooo difficult to make citrus-y things without it! I’ve tried using a peeler and a sharp knife to get the same result….haha. Nope. Just doesn’t work!Read More
Honestly there’s nothing better than a classic chocolate chip cookie! This is one of my most made recipes, and there’s usually a few kicking around in my freezer at all times. They are so easy to whip up, and I love keeping some unbaked and frozen, so that I can have a freshly baked cookie whenever I want! These cookies have crispy outsides, chewy insides, and taste like my childhood.Read More
